BORUS Zijdelveld is a childcare center where only daycare for children from 0-4 years is provided. This branch is the first real office of BORUS Kinderopvang (if the childcare center beneath the house at Zijdelveld no. 21 is not counted). It is a branch that is known throughout Uithoorn as the childcare center with the “turret”. The shape and the color of the building are so eye-catching that when you pass by, it always stands out. In the nursery, we have worked hard to create a ‘living room feeling’ through the colours and the decoration. That creates a familiar and safe feeling for the children when they enter the building.
At Zijdelveld 23 we can accommodate 6 groups, which can each accommodate up to 12 children. In order to satisfy your needs, we have long opening hours (7.15 am to 6.30 pm) and we are there for you and your children 52 weeks a year.
At the same site, Zijdelveld 24 the second part of BORUS Zijdelveld is located. This accommodation has two groups with a maximum of 12 children each.
The different groups have funny names such as BamBam, Olifanten, Walvissen, Kabouters en Boefjes, Pretletters en Lachebekjes. There is a close group of permanent employees. They groups stay in beautiful, light and large rooms with approved furniture and enough toys to entertain themselves and to encourage the children to develop. At the daycare center we work with themes that teach the children the daily things of life through the Uk & Puk program.
There are always fun activities and parties that are celebrated. A loyal guest at the daycare center is BORUS the Bear, the mascot of BORUS Kinderopvang, who likes to make jokes with the children and employees.
Both accommodations are situated on a large piece of land and therefore there is plenty of outdoor space where the children can play. The outdoor playground is safely surrounded with a child-friendly fence. The outside space is divided into three parts by different fences.
If all groups play outside, which can happen in good weather, the employees still have a good overview of the play area.
The children can play outside with the playground equipment, there is a sandbox for the little ones and a pirate ship for the bigger children. Especially during the summer all kinds of games are prepared on the outdoor playground.
